Controversial social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan, has urged Nigerians to withhold judgment in the renewed dispute involving P-Square star Peter Okoye and his elder brother, Jude Okoye.
VDM made the call during a live session shared online, arguing that many Nigerians had already taken Peter’s side without hearing directly from the other key figures in the dispute.
He said public emotions should not replace a careful examination of the claims being made by those involved.
“Nigerians are so emotional. This is why Mohbad will never get justice. Everybody is supporting Peter, but they have yet to hear from Paul and Jude,” he said.
The social critic maintained that Nigerians should listen to all sides before reaching conclusions about the allegations surrounding the Okoye family.
His comments followed renewed attention to the long-running P-Square dispute after Peter released another instalment of his account of the family’s disagreements.
The feud between Peter and his twin brother, Paul, has resurfaced publicly several times since the duo’s second split in 2024, with their elder brother, Jude, also drawn into the controversy.
Peter has made a series of allegations concerning his relationship with Paul and Jude, while the other parties have previously disputed or offered different accounts of some of the issues raised.
VDM also drew a comparison between the public reaction to the P-Square controversy and the prolonged calls for justice following the death of singer Mohbad.
His comments have divided opinion online. While some Nigerians agree that all parties should be heard before judgments are made, others maintain that Peter’s allegations deserve attention and should not be dismissed simply because the other parties have yet to respond to every claim.
For VDM, however, the central issue is the need for Nigerians to hear the competing accounts before deciding who is right or wrong.
