Former Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips believes England will lift the 2026 FIFA World Cup trophy.
The ex-Manchester City star predicted that the Three Lions will overcome Argentina in the final to claim the title. He also backed midfielder Declan Rice to be named the tournament’s best player.
Speaking in an interview with All Out Football, Wright-Phillips said:
“Who do you think is going to win the World Cup? – England.”
“Name the two teams that will play in the final: England vs Argentina.”
“Who will win the Golden Ball for the overall best player of the tournament? – Declan Rice,” he added.
