The ruling United Democratic Alliance’s candidate, Samuel Muchina, enjoyed a well-oiled campaign, with national attention focused on the money that was allegedly poured into the race, the goodies that were distributed and much more. Yet many questions remained unanswered, leaving room for uncertainty, speculation and competing narratives.
The latest uproar centres on high-end vehicles bearing no registration plates and used by armed men whose faces were concealed with balaclavas or scarves. Who were these individuals? Under whose authority were they operating? And what was their agenda?
