The UFC has announced the death of Brazilian flyweight, Allan Nascimento, who died on Monday after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was 34.
Nascimento was found unresponsive on Monday morning and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the promotion. His last appearance came in June, when he lost a three-round split decision at UFC Fight Night.
“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan’s family, friends, teammates and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” the UFC said in a statement posted on Instagram.
Known by the nickname “Puro Osso” (“All Bones”) because of his lean frame as a teenager, Nascimento compiled a 22-7 professional record and went 4-2 during his UFC career after joining the promotion in 2021. Both of his defeats in the UFC came via split decision.
The São Paulo native trained under Diego Lima at the renowned Chute Boxe academy and was widely respected for his technical skill and resilience inside the Octagon.
