Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has reacted strongly to TikTok users sharing her photos alongside false “RIP” captions on social media.
In a video shared via Snapchat, the actress warned those behind the posts to remove them immediately, stressing that she would not tolerate the spread of fake death rumours about her.
Abraham said she was aware that the posts had gained attention online and warned that anyone identified as responsible could face consequences.
“You on TikTok, posting my pictures and putting RIP, if I catch you I won’t listen to anyone begging on your behalf. Go and delete and stop,” she said in the video.
She added, “Everyone is seeing now. If I catch you, I won’t listen. I shall not die.”
The actress did not mention any specific TikTok accounts but made it clear that she considers the trend unacceptable.
Her reaction comes amid growing concerns over the spread of misleading celebrity death rumours on social media platforms, where edited images and false reports often circulate rapidly before being verified.
Abraham, known for her outspoken personality and active online presence, remains one of Nollywood’s most prominent actresses and filmmakers.
