Reality TV star Teddy A has said he does not support the idea of a stay-at-home wife, explaining that he prefers a marriage where both partners are financially active and contribute to building wealth together.
Speaking during a recent discussion on Echo Room, the former Big Brother Naija contestant said he values mutual effort in relationships and has no issue being with a partner who is successful or financially independent.
He explained that his perspective is shaped by long-term planning, adding that couples who work together financially are better positioned to enjoy the results of their shared efforts later in life.
According to him, while financial partnership is important, he also believes that submission remains a key element in marriage and that relationships may struggle when it is absent.
He stated that he appreciates supporting women who are ambitious and sees no reason for a partner to remain at home without pursuing personal or financial goals.
His comments come amid ongoing public speculation about his marriage to fellow reality star BamBam. The rumours gained traction after social media users noticed that both had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Further attention followed when the pair shared separate Valentine’s Day posts earlier in the year rather than posting joint celebrations, fueling further discussion about the state of their relationship.
Teddy A and BamBam first met during the 2018 Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala season and tied the knot in a white wedding ceremony held in Dubai in 2019. The couple welcomed their first child in 2020 and their second in 2022.
Neither Teddy A nor BamBam has publicly addressed the recent speculation surrounding their marriage.
