The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has formally handed over the construction site for the Kainji Switchyard Units 1G3 and 1G4 bays project to Mainstream Energy Solutions Limited (MESL), paving the way for the expansion of electricity generation and transmission capacity at the Kainji Hydro Power Plant in Niger State.
According to Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager Public Affairs, TCN in a statement today Sunday, the site handover, which took place on Friday, June 5, at the Kainji Transmission Substation, grants MESL full access to commence construction activities on the 2x330kV bays project.
