Salisu Yusuf is reportedly on the verge of being named technical adviser of Kano Pillars ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The experienced coach previously handled the Sai Masu Gida during the 2021/22 campaign, and his expected comeback signals a renewed push by the club to rebuild ahead of the new season.
Yusuf recently ended his tenure with Coton Sport of Benin Republic by mutual consent after guiding them to a second-place finish in the national league and securing qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup.
Kano Pillars endured a difficult 2025/26 season, narrowly avoiding relegation as they look to stabilise and improve their performance in the upcoming campaign.
