President William Ruto allies have turned their guns on former President Uhuru Kenyatta, accusing him of working behind the scenes to rally the opposition against the Kenya Kwanza administration. The leaders say Kenyatta will not succeed in dividing the Mt Kenya vote, vowing to rally residents to support President Ruto’s re-election.
Meanwhile divisions have emerged in Western Kenya over who should deputise President Ruto in the next election, even as Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka rejected calls for ODM to produce Ruto’s running mate.
