Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has urged ODM leaders, particularly Wycliffe Oparanya, to stop publicly debating the Deputy President’s position, saying such remarks undermine Prof Kithure Kindiki and the office he holds.
Speaking in Buuri Constituency, Ruku reaffirmed Kindiki as President William Ruto’s running mate for the 2027 General Election and touted him as Mt Kenya’s preferred presidential candidate for 2032.
He also accused former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of plotting against Ruto, likening the alleged scheme to failed attempts to undermine former President Daniel arap Moi, and pledged Mt Kenya’s continued support for the Kenya Kwanza administration.
