Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, widely known as RMD, has celebrated his 65th birthday with a heartfelt reflection on aging, purpose and gratitude.
The award-winning actor marked the occasion on Instagram by sharing new photographs alongside messages about the lessons he has learned over the years.
In one of the posts, RMD described growing older as a privilege, saying one of its greatest rewards is becoming comfortable with oneself.
“The celebration has just started,” he wrote. “Age has its privileges. One of them is becoming comfortable in your own skin. The rest is Grace.”
In another message, the actor reflected on his six-and-a-half decades of life, saying the journey has been shaped by purpose, presence and God’s grace.
According to him, experience has shown that life offers no guarantees, making every blessing worth appreciating.
RMD expressed gratitude for the opportunities to pursue his dreams, the resilience to overcome challenges and the wisdom gained through different stages of life. He also thanked God and everyone who has been part of his journey over the years.
“65 years of purpose, presence, and grace. I’ve lived long enough to know that life owes us nothing. Yet, by God’s grace, it has given me everything that truly matters,” he wrote.
He added that he remains thankful for every lesson, every season and every person who has walked with him, noting that his journey is far from over.
