Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo has spoken about her mother’s generosity, describing Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo as someone who consistently opened her home to others in need.
In an interview on WithChude, hosted by media personality Chude Jideonwo, Priscilla recalled growing up in a household where several children were often accommodated at different times.
She said it was common for unfamiliar children to suddenly become part of their home environment, a situation she initially struggled to understand as a child who valued personal space.
According to her, her mother often explained that many of the children staying with them were relatives or children of acquaintances in need of care.
Priscilla also shared a deeply personal recollection, revealing that her mother once breastfed one of her cousins, describing it as an example of her selflessness and compassion.
She noted that her decision to speak publicly about her upbringing was influenced by a desire to defend her mother during moments of public criticism.
Priscilla added that she felt compelled to speak up for Iyabo Ojo during backlash surrounding one of her film projects, saying she could not remain silent while her mother faced public scrutiny.
Reflecting further on her childhood, she praised her mother for single-handedly raising her and her brother after the separation of her parents, noting that she never felt the absence of a father figure while growing up.
