Reality TV personality Phyna has revealed that she does not intend to have biological children, stating that she would rather focus on raising pets.
The former Big Brother Naija winner shared her views in a recent video, where she spoke candidly about her personal choices and how her life experiences have shaped her perspective.
“I’m very fertile, but I don’t have any desire to have a biological child. I just wanna be a cat and dog mum,” she said.
Phyna explained that her outlook is influenced by her understanding of relationships and emotional experiences. According to her, repeated heartbreaks can affect how some women approach love and long-term commitment.
She suggested that, for some, these experiences may lead to a shift in priorities, with companionship from pets becoming a source of comfort and stability.
The reality star added that she believes many women begin to develop a stronger attachment to animals as they approach their 30s, particularly if they are uncertain about settling down.
“I think the love for animals in women kicks in when we’re approaching our 30s… especially when you don’t see yourself settling down or after too many broken relationships,” she said.
Phyna noted that she sees herself in that phase of life, where the companionship offered by pets aligns more closely with her current needs and emotional space.
Her remarks have since sparked conversations online about personal choices, societal expectations, and evolving definitions of family and companionship.
