Nigerian streamer Peller has shared details of tensions within his family, revealing that his father once threatened to publicly call him out despite receiving financial support from him.
Peller made the disclosure during a livestream while reacting to the ongoing controversy involving content creator GehGeh, whose family members recently criticised him online over alleged neglect.
Drawing parallels with his own experience, Peller said his situation could escalate in a similar manner, noting that his father had previously warned of taking grievances to social media.
He maintained that he has consistently supported his family financially, including gifting his father a car and setting up several businesses for his mother.
According to him, the criticism he sees directed at GehGeh reflects challenges he also faces privately, despite his efforts to provide for his family.
Peller added that his mother had advised him to stop giving money to his father, but he chose to continue out of gratitude, as his father funded his education while he was growing up.
He also claimed that his father continued to request financial assistance even after receiving significant support, including asking for money on the same day he was given a car and again shortly after.
The streamer’s comments highlight the growing trend of family-related disputes playing out publicly, especially among social media personalities, where financial expectations and personal relationships often intersect.
His remarks have since drawn reactions online, with many users weighing in on the pressures faced by public figures in balancing family responsibilities and personal boundaries.
