The long-running dispute between P-Square twins Peter and Paul Okoye has taken an unexpected turn, with music executive Soso Soberekon offering Peter ₦500 million to face his brother in a boxing match.
Soberekon made the offer during Peter’s performance on Sunday night, where he reportedly caught the singer’s attention from the crowd.
A video circulating on social media showed Soberekon raising his phone towards the stage, with a message displayed on the screen.
The message read: “500 Million Naira to fight your twin in a boxing match.”
The offer comes as tensions between the former P-Square members continue to attract public attention.
Peter has been involved in a public dispute with Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, over financial matters connected to the music group.
Peter has accused Jude of diverting music royalties, allegations that have contributed to the latest chapter in the brothers’ long-running disagreements.
The proposed boxing bout appears to add an unusual entertainment dimension to the family dispute, although there has been no indication that Peter has accepted the offer or that a fight has been formally arranged.
P-Square, comprising Peter and Paul, was one of Nigeria’s most successful music duos before the brothers’ repeated disagreements eventually led to their separation.
The latest ₦500 million proposal has since generated reactions online as fans continue to follow developments surrounding the estranged twins.
