Victor Osimhen has reportedly encouraged Galatasaray to consider signing Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare as they look to reinforce their attack ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Turkish journalist Burak Eren reports that Osimhen recommended his compatriot to the Istanbul club, with both forwards believed to maintain a close relationship within the Super Eagles setup.
Arokodare has previously named Osimhen as a major influence on his career, and the Napoli forward’s endorsement is expected to carry significant weight at Galatasaray as they prepare for the likely departure of Argentine striker Mauro Icardi.
The 24-year-old forward is available this summer after a mixed first season at Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he scored six goals and provided two assists in 38 appearances following his €26 million move from Genk.
Wolves’ relegation from the Premier League has triggered plans to reduce their wage bill, with Arokodare among the players expected to be offloaded.
