Nigeria international Raphael Onyedika has failed to secure the Ebony Boot, an award presented annually to the top African performer in the Belgian Pro League.
The honour was instead claimed by Genk’s Moroccan defender, Zakaria El Ouahdi, who emerged as this season’s standout African player in the competition.
Last year’s recipient of the prize was El Ouahdi’s former Genk teammate, Tolu Arokodare.
Meanwhile, Onyedika is reportedly considering a move away from Club Brugge during the upcoming summer transfer window, bringing a potential end to his five-year stay with the Belgian side.
Interest in the midfielder is said to be growing, with Galatasaray and Wolfsburg listed among clubs monitoring his situation.
