Wikki Tourists technical adviser Evans Ogenyi has called on his squad to deliver a maximum effort when they face Bayelsa United in the President Federation Cup.
The Bauchi-based side will square off against Bayelsa United in a Round of 32 clash at the Lafia City Stadium on Monday.
Ogenyi said the cup competition presents an important chance for his team to rebuild confidence and challenge for a trophy following a difficult period.
“Let’s play the game of our lives tomorrow,” Ogenyi stated in an address with the players on Sunday.
Wikki Tourists were relegated to the Nigeria National League ahead of the 2025/26 season, while Bayelsa United also endured a disappointing campaign in the NPFL, finishing among the relegated sides.
Both teams are expected to see the cup as a vital opportunity to salvage pride and give their supporters something to cheer.
