The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has signalled that its 2027 political strategy will ultimately depend on President William Ruto’s own political calculations.
As the party weighs whether to field a presidential candidate or negotiate for the deputy president’s position, its leaders allied to Oburu Oginga have drawn a firm political red line, ruling out any alliance with Rigathi Gachagua over what they describe as divisive politics.
The same concerns were echoed by Francis Atwoli, who called on authorities to crack down on leaders accused of fuelling incitement.
