Manchester United icon Gary Neville believes Arsenal are too close to let the Premier League title slip away following their win over Burnley.
The Gunners moved a step nearer to ending their 22-year wait for the league crown after securing a 1-0 victory, opening a five-point lead over Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side face Bournemouth on Wednesday, knowing that anything short of victory would hand Arsenal the title.
Speaking on his Sky Sports podcast, Neville said Mikel Arteta’s success would elevate him into the ranks of elite managers.
He said: “If Mikel Arteta becomes a champion manager, it’s a game changer.
“The fact that they can go the distance and they can beat a Guardiola Manchester City team to a title, that is no mean feat.
“They’re on the brink now, and I can’t see how they’re going to waste this opportunity.”
