Speaking on a recent podcast, the couple explained that the multiple medical consultations were driven by uncertainty over where they would eventually have their baby.
According to Mr Eazi, they wanted to explore several options because they had not settled on a country for the birth. The music star disclosed that he had even considered Japan as a possible destination and went as far as researching Japanese names for their child.
“Why exactly do we see nine doctors? Nine doctors, to give you options. Not just that, because we didn’t know where we were going to be. Which country? We didn’t know which country we would decide on. I wanted Japan,” he said during the conversation.
Temi, however, joked about her husband’s enthusiasm for the idea, revealing that she was not convinced by his plans.
“By the way, he’s also been looking at Japanese names, and I’m like, no, absolutely not,” she said humorously.
The couple announced in May that they were expecting their first child. They previously disclosed that they discovered the pregnancy while on their honeymoon in Asia.
Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola tied the knot in a private ceremony in Iceland in August 2025.
Their latest revelation offers fans a glimpse into the planning and decision-making process behind one of the most anticipated celebrity pregnancies in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
