Former Arsenal F.C. midfielder Paul Merson has identified the trio he believes should spearhead the club’s attack in Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain F.C. in Budapest.
Writing in his Sportskeeda column, Merson backed Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard to start in attack for the Gunners against the side managed by Luis Enrique.
“I expect Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard to lead the Arsenal attack in this game,” Merson said.
“I like Trossard. He plays in all the big games because he’s such a reliable and good footballer. But I don’t expect Arsenal to open PSG up with this trio. Their real chance is through set-pieces,” he said.
PSG secured their place in the final after defeating FC Bayern Munich, while Arsenal advanced by overcoming Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals earlier this month.
