Lobi Stars have stepped up preparations for their President Federation Cup Round of 64 encounter against Kogi United.
The Makurdi club recorded a commanding 6-0 win over amateur side St. Mark’s FC in a friendly match played at the McCarthy Stadium on Sunday.
It was Lobi Stars’ first outing since the conclusion of the 2025/26 Nigeria National League season.
They will face Kogi United in Abuja on Wednesday as they aim to bounce back from the disappointment of missing promotion to the top flight with a strong showing in the cup tournament.
Lobi Stars were eliminated in the Round of 32 last year. Their only Federation Cup triumph came in 2003 after defeating the now-defunct Sharks FC 2-0 in the final.
