Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has agreed to step into the ring with fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, reviving a celebrity boxing proposal first introduced years ago by show promoter Paulo Okoye.
Anjorin confirmed her acceptance in a post shared on Instagram on Sunday, signaling a new phase in the long-running dispute between the two actresses. She stated clearly that she was ready to proceed with the match as of May 3, 2026.
However, the actress attached fresh شروط to the arrangement. She insisted that Okoye must first face her husband, Lawal, in a 10-round boxing match before she would agree to fight Ojo the following day.
Beyond the physical contest, Anjorin also escalated the feud by calling on both Okoye and Ojo to publicly present evidence of their assets and achievements, extending the dispute beyond the ring.
The rivalry between Anjorin and Ojo has spanned several years, marked by repeated social media clashes, legal battles, and police involvement.
The boxing idea was initially proposed by Okoye in 2024, with a reported ₦10 million prize attached to the fight. Tensions further intensified in 2025 when Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit against Anjorin. Although the case was later struck out on procedural grounds, Ojo indicated her intention to continue legal proceedings.
The latest development adds a new twist to the high-profile feud, with public attention now shifting to whether the proposed matches will eventually take place.
