Nollywood actress and filmmaker Laide Bakare has revealed that she is preparing to walk down the aisle once again, marking what would be her third marriage.
The actress made the disclosure during a recent conversation with content creator Akin Abolade, where she described the upcoming union as her “first official” marriage, despite having been married twice before.
According to Bakare, plans for the ceremony are already in motion. However, she declined to share details about the wedding date or the identity of her fiancé.
Bakare’s marital journey has been in the public eye over the years. Her first marriage was to US-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, with whom she has a daughter. Following their separation, she remarried Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012, and the relationship produced two sons.
The second marriage later ended after Orilowo was reportedly declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2014 over alleged fraud-related offences.
Speaking in an earlier interview on the Real Life With Aunty Ayo podcast, Bakare had indicated that she remains open to multiple attempts at marriage if previous relationships do not succeed.
Her latest announcement signals a new chapter, though key details about the forthcoming wedding remain undisclosed.
