Alex Iwobi is on the verge of a major milestone as he prepares to earn his 100th cap for Nigeria when the Super Eagles face Portugal in an international friendly at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria on Wednesday.
The Fulham midfielder has made 99 appearances for the three-time African champions and is set to join the exclusive group of Super Eagles centurions, alongside Ahmed Musa, Joseph Yobo and Vincent Enyeama.
Iwobi has represented Nigeria at senior level for over a decade, having made his debut in a friendly match against the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2015.
Before committing his international future to Nigeria, the former Everton star featured for England at youth level.
