The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chairperson Erastus Edung Ethekon says the commission will cancel the Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election if an ongoing investigation into reports of bribery, goonism and intimidation proves that malpractices have occurred to the extent they undermine the credibility of the election.
The IEBC states it may also explore disqualifying any candidates found culpable. This comes as high-octane campaigns hit Nyandarua, a localised encounter pitting the state against the opposition.
