Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter Ice Prince has revealed plans to step away from active music pursuits when he turns 40, saying he intends to focus on farming and agricultural studies instead.
The 37-year-old artiste made the disclosure during a recent appearance on TVC’s Wake Up Nigeria, where he spoke about his long-term goals beyond the entertainment industry.
Ice Prince said that while music has defined much of his career, he envisions a future where he transitions into agriculture, including returning to school to formally study the field.
According to him, he plans to enrol in university at 40 to study agriculture and eventually work on a farm, describing it as a personal aspiration he hopes to fulfil in the next phase of his life.
He added that at that stage, he does not expect to be actively chasing album releases or music projects, as his focus would have shifted to other interests.
The rapper also reflected on his recent body of work, noting the release of his fifth studio album, Testimony of Grace, which dropped on May 1, 2026. The 13-track project features collaborations with artists including Niniola, Skiibii, and Sinzu.
Beyond music, Ice Prince also spoke about his relationships within the industry, stressing that he maintained a cordial connection with his former record label, Chocolate City, as well as colleagues such as MI Abaga and Jesse Jagz.
He described his departure from the label as peaceful, adding that he was grateful to have left without any public disputes, unlike what is often seen in the music industry.
The rapper also touched on his personal transformation, revealing that a close associate encouraged him to adopt a healthier lifestyle and physical appearance, which contributed to his weight loss journey.
