Nigerian model, Olajumoke Orisaguna, popularly known as Olajumoke Onibread, has reacted to rumours claiming she smokes or takes hard substances after a TikTok freestyle video of her singing went viral.
Olajumoke reacted to a wave of online backlash at the aftermath of a recent TikTok video where she was seen singing a freestyle, and has left many fans concerned.
The former bread seller-turned-model clarified that the clip was simply for content creation and entertainment rather than evidence of substance use.
She said: “I saw different, different comments out of the video I did last week, Monday, and I’m not happy about it. Some people said Olajumoke is smoking, Olajumoke is using substances. It’s content. I dropped a content. I know some people understand me, but some people don’t understand.”
“I’m not happy about the comments I saw on my video. Some people were saying that I now smoke and drink alcohol. Why would anyone think that about me? It was just content. I know some people understood that, but it was only content,” she said.
Olajumoke warned people from raining curses on her, adding that she couldn’t smoke because even when she was a bread seller on the streets, she never engaged in such an act.
“I don’t smoke or drink — I wasn’t raised that way. Please, I’m begging you all, don’t give me a reputation that isn’t mine. Even when I go to parties, and I’m offered a drink, I simply leave it on the table,”
“Please understand, it was all just content. Even the song I was singing is not mine, she added.”
Olajumoke gained prominence in 2016 when she photobombed a high-profile photoshoot featuring British rapper Tinie Tempah. Ace photographer TY Bello captured the moment, and the image made her famous, gracing magazine covers and walking runways as a model.
