Grammy-winning Nigerian-British singer Talay Riley, whose real name is Mark Yinka Orabiyi, has died following a stabbing incident in East London.
The 35-year-old artist was attacked on June 5, 2026, along Pankhurst Avenue in Silvertown at around 9 a.m., according to reports.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, but Riley was pronounced dead despite efforts by paramedics to save his life.
Authorities confirmed that he sustained multiple stab wounds during the attack.
The Metropolitan Police said homicide detectives from its specialist crime unit have taken over the investigation. Officers are currently treating the case as a murder inquiry while efforts continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
No arrests have been announced at this stage, and police say inquiries remain ongoing.
