In a statement shared on his official page, GehGeh expressed concern over what he described as a lack of coordinated civic response to national issues.
He compared Nigeria’s situation with recent developments in South Africa, suggesting that citizens there appeared more organised in their approach to societal concerns.
According to him, South African authorities were also more visibly aligned with public actions, unlike what he believes is happening in Nigeria.
GehGeh further alleged that Nigerian security agencies are more focused on arresting internet fraud suspects and individuals in unrelated enforcement drives, rather than addressing deeper security concerns.
He also criticised what he described as a lack of readiness among young Nigerians to mobilise and demand accountability from political leaders.
The media personality’s remarks add to ongoing conversations around governance, policing priorities, and civic participation in Nigeria.
