The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd.), has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, on his 58th birthday.
In a congratulatory message issued on Saturday, the Minister described Yilwatda as a distinguished scholar, visionary administrator and dedicated statesman whose contributions to democratic governance and national development remain commendable.
According to Leah Katung-Babatunde, the Special Assistant (Media) to the Honourable Minister of Defence in a Statement, Musa, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Nigeria, hailed the APC chairman’s leadership qualities, integrity and commitment to national service.
“On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Nigeria, I celebrate an exceptional patriotic leader, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, as he marks his 58th birthday. His insightful leadership, integrity, and selfless service to our nation continue to inspire confidence and unity,” the Minister said.
According to Musa, Yilwatda’s leadership of the ruling party is important to the promotion of political stability and institutional harmony in the country.
He said political stability and strong institutions remained critical to strengthening national security and achieving sustainable national development.
The Defence Minister prayed for continued good health, wisdom and courage for the APC chairman, wishing him many more years of service to the party, Nigeria and humanity.
Yilwatda, a professor and politician, assumed the leadership of the APC as National Chairman and has since been involved in efforts to strengthen the ruling party and advance its political agenda.
