Nigerian businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has announced plans to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections.
He made the declaration in a video shared online after visiting the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Imo State. During the visit, he informed party officials of his intention to represent the Orsu, Orlu and Oru East Federal Constituency.
In his message, Okechukwu said he had formally communicated his ambition to party leaders, adding that he received encouraging responses.
“I came to congratulate and encourage our party leaders and also to share my humble desire to represent my people at the House of Representatives,” he said. “God is in control; let His will be done.”
A party official present at the meeting commended him, describing him as a multi-talented individual capable of contributing to public service. The official also assured him of the party’s support for his political ambition.
Cubana Chief Priest has recently become more active in political circles, particularly in his support for the ruling All Progressives Congress and the current administration.
He currently serves as the Imo Director of the City Boy Movement, a youth-driven group backing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
His declaration adds to the growing list of public figures signaling interest in the 2027 elections, as political alignments begin to take shape ahead of the polls.
