Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe has reacted to Babcock University‘s decision to pursue legal action over his claim that he graduated from the institution with a first-class degree.
The controversy began after Carter Efe, during an interview with Egungun of Lagos, claimed he earned a first-class qualification from Babcock University.
He later shared what he presented as his academic certificate on X.
In response, Babcock University announced that it would take legal action against those responsible for what it described as forged documents linked to the claim.
Addressing the development during a livestream, Carter Efe appeared to dismiss the university’s legal threat with a sarcastic response.
The content creator joked that anyone from the institution hoping to see him would first have to pay a ₦100,000 ticket fee.
“I heard that Babcock University is looking for me. You would not see me. You will pay ₦100,000 for a ticket before you could see me in Babcock, and we are coming soon,” he said during the broadcast.
The university has maintained that it intends to pursue legal action over the alleged forgery, while Carter Efe’s latest comments suggest he is treating the matter with humour.
