Popular Nigerian streamer and comedian Carter Efe has sparked fresh debate online after claiming that the widely publicised wedding ceremony of TikTok personalities Peller and Jarvis was created primarily for content rather than representing a genuine marriage.
The content creator made the remarks during a livestream while reacting to conversations surrounding the event, which attracted significant attention across social media platforms.
According to Carter Efe, he believes he was not invited because the ceremony was organised as entertainment content rather than a traditional wedding.
“They do content, they say na wedding. Yes, na content now. You no know? No be real marriage. Na why dem no invite me,” he said during the livestream.
He further suggested that the event was designed to generate online engagement, maintaining that this explained his absence from the guest list.
The conversation later shifted to speculation about the couple’s future, with one of the livestream’s co-hosts joking that a possible pregnancy announcement could also become part of their content strategy”In the next nine months, we go start to dey hear say Jarvis don get belle. Carter Efe, however, distanced himself from that line of speculation, urging caution over comments relating to Jarvis.
“But leave that woman belle, o,” he responded.
The co-host immediately withdrew the remark, stressing that any such suggestion was purely speculative.
As of the time of filing this report, Peller and Jarvis had not publicly responded to Carter Efe’s claims regarding the nature of their wedding ceremony.
The couple’s wedding has remained one of the biggest entertainment stories on Nigerian social media in recent days, drawing widespread reactions from fans, celebrities and fellow content creators.
