The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has reacted positively after two African nations secured qualification for the Round of 16 at the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
Morocco and Egypt both advanced to the knockout stage, with Morocco eliminating the Netherlands while Egypt knocked out Australia in the Round of 32.
Both teams are now set for tough quarter-final qualification matches against Canada and Argentina respectively.
In a post shared on X, CAF praised the achievement and expressed confidence in the North African sides ahead of their next fixtures.
“Africa marches on. Morocco and Egypt are ready for their Round of 16 clashes,” CAF tweeted on Saturday morning.
