New REV-OP integration allows Nigerian businesses to pay directly on the iCRP platform without relying solely on third-party gateways……
The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has rolled out a new direct payment feature on its registration portal, a move expected to make business-related filings faster and more seamless for users across Nigeria.
The Commission announced that customers can now complete payments directly on the Intelligent Company Registration Portal (iCRP) through the Federal Government-backed Revenue Optimization and Assurance Project (REV-OP).
The update marks another step in the government’s push toward fully digitised public services and improved revenue management.
In a notice shared on the Commission’s official communication channels, CAC said the new system is designed to simplify transactions and improve the overall user experience on its platform.
Under the new arrangement, several post-incorporation services can now be paid for directly through the portal. These include Annual Returns Filing, Change of Business Address, Change of Name, Cessation of Business, Change of Objects, and updates to Proprietor or Partner details, among others.
The development reduces dependence on the previous payment structure, which primarily operated through the Remita gateway using debit cards, bank transfers, and bank branch payments.
REV-OP, introduced by the Federal Government last year, was created to strengthen accountability and transparency in public revenue collection. The initiative focuses on reducing leakages, improving efficiency, and enabling real-time monitoring of government transactions through technology-driven systems.
Industry observers say the CAC’s latest upgrade could significantly improve turnaround time for business filings while making the registration process more convenient for entrepreneurs and company owners.
The initiative also reflects a broader digital transformation agenda aimed at modernising government operations and enhancing service delivery across public institutions.
For business owners and entrepreneurs who regularly interact with the CAC portal, the new payment option is expected to make compliance processes smoother and more accessible.
