ODM Deputy Secretary General Catherine Omanyo now says the Western Kenya region is qualified to produce President William Ruto’s running mate in 2027 as internal succession politics begin to take shape inside the Orange party following the death of Raila Odinga.
Her remarks come just a day after ODM leader Oburu Oginga appeared to step away from speculation over the deputy president slot, opening a fresh contest for influence within the party.
