Femi Azeez has been drafted into Nigeria’s squad for upcoming international friendlies against Poland and Portugal, replacing Samuel Chukwueze.
Chukwueze will miss both fixtures for personal reasons after attending the burial of his mother in Abia State earlier this week.
Azeez earned the call-up following an impressive Super Eagles debut, scoring twice in Nigeria’s 2-0 Unity Cup semi-final victory over Zimbabwe.
The Super Eagles will take on Jamaica national football team in the Unity Cup final on Saturday before travelling to Warsaw for a friendly against Poland national football team next Wednesday.
Eric Chelle and his players will then face Portugal national football team in Leiria on June 10.
