Atletico Madrid are reportedly open to discussing the departure of Julian Alvarez this summer, with Arsenal emerging as a potential destination.
The Argentine forward has made no secret of his intention to leave the Spanish club during the current transfer window.
According to COPE, Atletico are unwilling to strengthen domestic rivals Barcelona by selling Alvarez to the Catalan side and would prefer a transfer abroad.
Reports suggest the Madrid club could consider a deal involving Arsenal striker target Viktor Gyokeres, with Atletico seeking between €60 million and €80 million in addition to the Swedish forward.
However, Barcelona would be required to meet Alvarez’s €500 million release clause if they hope to secure his signature.
