Air Peace and its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Allen Onyema, have received top honours at the 9th National Tourism Transportation Summit & Expo (NTTSE) 2026 in recognition of their contributions to aviation growth, regional connectivity and continental integration.
The awards were presented during the gala night of the summit at the Banquet Hall of the NICON Luxury Hotel in Abuja, coming just days before the airline’s planned launch of new regional routes linking Lagos with Bamako, Conakry, Douala and Libreville.
Air Peace received the Nigeria’s Largest Airline & Regional Expansion Leadership Award, while Onyema was honoured with the Aviation Leadership & Continental Connectivity Award for his contributions to strengthening aviation connectivity across Africa and promoting trade and economic integration on the continent.
According to the airline, the recognitions reflect Air Peace’s growing role in closing connectivity gaps across Africa and advancing socio-economic integration through aviation. It said its expanding regional network continues to facilitate the movement of people, tourism and trade while supporting the vision of a more interconnected African market.

Also speaking, the Chairman’s Special Assistant on Communications, Hawa Alege, said, “This recognition further reinforces Dr Allen Onyema’s enduring vision of using aviation as a catalyst for African unity, economic growth and stronger connections between nations.”
The latest awards add to Air Peace’s growing list of industry recognitions and come as the airline prepares to deepen its regional footprint.
