Afrobeats singer Adekunle Gold has spoken about life in a musically gifted home, revealing that his daughter is already showing early signs of interest in music.
The singer, who is married to fellow artist Simi, said their household is filled with creativity, noting that their five-year-old daughter, Adejare Kosoko, appears to be developing a natural connection to music.
Speaking on the Great Day 20 Podcast, Adekunle Gold said the environment created by two songwriter parents may be influencing the child’s growing interest.
“It is interesting to be married to another fantastic singer-songwriter and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for the music as well,” he said.
The singer expressed excitement about the possibility of his daughter following in their footsteps, while emphasising that her interest is still in its early stages.
During the same interview, Adekunle Gold also addressed recent online speculation claiming that he and Simi had welcomed twins.
He dismissed the reports as false, clarifying that the couple recently welcomed a son.
“My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins, it is just internet rumours. We have a son,” he stated.
Adekunle Gold and Simi got married in January 2019 in a private ceremony and welcomed their first child, Adejare, in May 2020.
