Ifeoma Okoye, the wife of music executive Jude Okoye, has spoken publicly for the first time since being drawn into the ongoing dispute involving the former members of P-Square, saying she has no intention of defending herself against allegations circulating online.
Her statement comes shortly after singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, released another instalment of his video series detailing his long-running disagreements with his elder brother over the management and ownership of the defunct group’s assets.
In the latest video, Mr P alleged that Jude attempted to transfer his ownership interest in one of P-Square’s properties to Ifeoma. According to the singer, he declined to approve the move after discovering documents bearing her name.
Without directly mentioning either Peter or her husband, Ifeoma addressed the growing public attention in a statement posted on her Instagram page.
“I have no desire to defend myself before those who are committed to misunderstanding me. Truth does not need manipulation to prevail, and I trust God to vindicate what is right,” she wrote.
She said her decision to remain silent should not be interpreted as weakness or fear, explaining that she had chosen to rely on God rather than engage in public exchanges or accusations.
Referencing the biblical account of Ananias and Sapphira, Ifeoma said no one can hide the truth from God, whom she described as the ultimate judge capable of exposing falsehood in His own time.
She also offered prayers for everyone involved in the controversy, asking God to bring healing, restore broken relationships and guide those affected towards truth, humility and peace.
The statement adds another chapter to the increasingly public rift between Peter and Jude Okoye, whose disagreement over the affairs of P-Square has resurfaced in recent weeks through a series of claims and responses shared on social media.
While the allegations continue to generate widespread discussion among fans, neither Jude Okoye nor Peter Okoye has indicated that the dispute will be resolved privately anytime soon.
