Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has denied reports linking Marcus Rashford with a summer move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, where he would reunite with former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speculation over Rashford’s future intensified after he returned to Manchester United following the end of his loan spell at Barcelona, with reports suggesting Al-Nassr were interested in signing the England forward.
Addressing the rumours on his YouTube channel, Romano insisted there is no truth to the reports.
“In the last 24 hours on social media, many rumours on Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team, the champions of Saudi trying to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. Guys, let me clarify one thing,” Romano said.
“According to my information, Rashford is not leaving Manchester United this summer, in case of proposals that are coming from these kinds of countries.
“Marcus Rashford eventually would only leave Man United if a top European club arrives and puts big money on the table for Man United, because you still need to agree with Man Utd. The release clause is no longer valid.”
