Godswill Akpabio United FC are set to appoint Edward Green as their new head coach following the departure of Lawrence Kingsley from the role last week.
Green has emerged as the club’s preferred choice and is expected to sign a two-year contract with the Uyo-based Nigeria National League side.
The young coach previously worked as an assistant coach at Nigeria Premier Football League club Rivers United last season, having also held similar roles at Akwa United and Sporting Lagos.
He was part of the Sporting Lagos technical team that secured promotion to the NPFL in 2024.
