Arsenal have secured the signing of Greece international attacker Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge for a reported £34 million fee.
The 24-year-old has agreed a long-term deal with the Premier League champions, who described him as a highly adaptable forward capable of featuring anywhere across the attacking line.
Tzolis joins the Gunners after an impressive spell in Belgium, where he contributed 43 goals and 45 assists in 108 appearances for Club Brugge.
His arrival comes shortly after Arsenal parted ways with Belgian winger Leandro Trossard, who completed a move to Besiktas earlier this month.
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta praised Tzolis’ technical quality, finishing ability and attacking flexibility.
“Christos naturally operates on the left but is comfortable across the front line. He’s an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces, and possesses incredible technical ability,” Berta said.
Berta added that the forward’s attacking numbers in recent seasons would provide the squad with greater quality, intensity and a positive mentality.
Tzolis began his career at Greek side PAOK before joining Norwich City in 2021. He made 30 appearances for the English club, scoring three goals, and later had loan spells at FC Twente and Fortuna Düsseldorf before his move to Club Brugge.
The forward previously faced Arsenal in his Premier League debut in September 2021, featuring in Norwich’s 1-0 loss at the Emirates Stadium.
Following his transfer, Tzolis said discussions with manager Mikel Arteta convinced him about the club’s ambitions and his expected role.
“I’m a direct player, I go for goals or assists. That’s my point of view as an attacker, as a winger,” he said.
“I’m always hungry to score or to give the final pass to my teammates. And I can say I work hard for the team, also in the defensive part.”
The move further strengthens Arsenal’s attacking options as they prepare for the new season.
