Nigeria’s Code of Conduct Tribunal has been urged to embrace digital solutions as part of efforts to improve the speed and efficiency of justice administration.
The call was made by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, during a meeting with the tribunal’s Chairman, Mainasara Kogo, and members of its management team in Abuja.
Akume said the adoption of technology would strengthen case management, improve record keeping, and support the Federal Government’s broader digital transformation agenda.
He described the tribunal as a critical institution in the fight against corruption, noting that stronger public institutions are essential for accountability, transparency, and good governance.
The SGF also encouraged closer cooperation among government agencies to promote ethical standards and improve compliance with constitutional obligations.
Kogo, who briefed Akume on the tribunal’s one-year reforms, said the institution had undertaken operational reviews, inspected its zonal offices, and strengthened partnerships with relevant agencies to improve service delivery.
