Zambia’s Copper Queens are set to travel to Algeria on Monday to begin the final phase of preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The squad has spent the past two weeks in a training camp in Lusaka under the guidance of assistant coach Charles Haalubono, while head coach Nora Elizabeth Häuptle is expected to join the team in Algeria.
Zambia will play two warm-up matches against Algeria before flying on a chartered flight to Morocco for the tournament, where they have been drawn in Group C alongside defending champions Nigeria, Malawi and Egypt.
