Guinness World Records has officially recognised a Lagos concert organised by Dapper Live & Artists as the world’s largest orchestra assembled for an Afrobeats performance.
The announcement was made on the organisation’s official X account alongside a video from the record-setting event, which featured Fuji icons King Saheed Osupa and KS1 Malaika alongside several leading Afrobeats performers.
According to Guinness World Records, the record was achieved with an 85-member orchestra during Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience, staged at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos in December 2025.
The organisation said the performance combined Afrobeats with orchestral music, featuring a conductor, lead vocalist, choir, dancers and 85 musicians performing in synchronisation.
The concert took place on December 16, 2025, and brought together a lineup of artists including T.I Blaze, Rybeena, Bhadboi OML, Kashcoming, TML Vibez, Lasmid, Heis Cazulee and Dwillsharmony.
Dapper Live & Artists is affiliated with music executive Damilola Akinwunmi, popularly known as Dapper. He is also known for his relationship with celebrity chef and three-time Guinness World Records holder Hilda Baci.
The recognition adds another milestone to Nigeria’s growing presence on the global stage, highlighting the continued international appeal and evolution of Afrobeats through innovative live performances.
