FIFA has released updated statistics showing the nations with the highest number of match victories in World Cup history, coinciding with the ongoing 2026 tournament Round of 16 stage.
According to the list, Brazil leads the rankings with 79 wins in total at the World Cup.
Germany follows in second place with 70 victories, while Argentina sits third with 51 wins.
The remaining top 20 ranking places Italy fourth with 45 wins, France fifth with 44, and England sixth with 35. Spain (34), Netherlands (32), Uruguay (25), and Belgium (23) complete the top ten.
Mexico (21), Sweden (20), Portugal and Russia (19 each), Serbia (18), Poland and Switzerland (17 each), Croatia and Hungary (15 each), and Austria (13) round out the list.
